INSTRUCTIONS TO TUTORS
What is the difference between the .pdf versions (on the left) and the Word/Excel versions (on the right)?
The .pdf versions are for those who want to download the file, print it out, fill it in and mail or fax it back to us. "PDF" stands for "Portable Document format", meaning that it is just like a printed piece of paper - it can be printed, but not changed on screen.
If you have a PC and own the programs "Microsoft Word" and/or "Microsoft Excel", you'll probably want to download the files on the right, save them on your computer, and enter the data from your keyboard. Then, all you have to do is attach them to an email and send it to either:
kcarver@marinliteracy.org OR readandwrite@marinliteracy.org.
The reason for 2 choices is that, sometimes the City of San Rafael's computer blocks attachments from those who are "outside" of the city's network. If you get your message back, send it again to readandwrite@marinliteracy.org.
